The drainage outlet isn't a must have for a pent roof cabin. It has a slope which filters the water to the back of the cabin and off the roof.
Drainage Outlet for Rubber RoofThe roof drainage outlet is designed to work with the EPDM roofing material that is used on pent or flat roof log cabins. The outlet will direct the water flow to filter down a certain area on the roof, rather than the water running off all the back of the roof like is normally would.
For the drainage outlet to work, when installing the EPDM, you will need to dish the EPDM up on all sides including the back of the roof. You will just need to cut a hole in the roof for where you would like the outlet to be positioned.
