We advise the Corner Cabin base dimension to be made a minimum of 2.82m x 2.82m in the case of the Emma or 2.80 x 2.80m for the Asmund.
Please note, the minimum base size will only work when using the standard foundation beams as these sit flush with the first log with the interlocking corners overhanging.
The only time when having the base to the minimum base size would not work would be when using the profiled foundation beams. As these are a profiled shape, you would need to make the base larger than the minimum base size to allow for this. As shown below:

Due to the complex nature of the corner log cabin in getting the base exactly right. We also advise making the base 100% square, building the cabin and then taking off the corner after it is built as this will give you 100% accuracy as the door juts forward slightly.

If you did want to do the base to the exact size, with the corner log cabin, then we would recommend to wait until the cabin is there with you so the parts can be laid out to be able to do this.
