Internal Wall and Partition

There are different methods when building an internal wall in these Log Cabins whether that be a Stud wall with cladding or with Solid Logs.

It is very important to remember though that your log cabin will move. This is what they do naturally especially in the first year of its life as explained here:

So not to disrupt this natural movement of your log cabin when installing your internal wall, you must use a floating wall mounted system. Doing so will allow the logs to expand and contract as they like without being constricted.

For a solid log based wall you will need to use what we call a Log cabin connector. Or for a Stud wall a slotted join in the framework as shown below.
