For guttering, at the back of the Yorick Log Cabin, there is a small gap between where the roof boards finished, and the barge boards start.
Water can filter through the gap at the back between the roof purlins and act as a trough.
From our experience, we would cut recesses into the purlins to allow a guttering length throughout the depth, with a down pipe coming down anywhere in between the purlins, to bring the water away from the building/base.
