We supply nails for fixing the roof boards on your log cabin. Two nails should be used at every junction with the wall logs or the purlins.
We do recommend leaving a 2mm gap between each roof board to allow for expansion and contraction during different times and temperatures throughout the year.
If you intend taking down the building at any point it is a good idea to use screws in the roof boards, the boards are 16 - 18mm in thickness, I would recommend 50mm screws to be used.
