Broken Apex or Gable

Unfortunately, as you move parts around when unpacking your cabin, it can sustain damage, with a broken apex or gable being the most common.

If of course you would prefer a replacement, we can of course arrange this with our service team. But this can take a number of weeks to arrive. As these do need to be specially made and ordered due to the nature of the angles and complexity of these parts.

But this does not need to delay your install and these can still be safely used, without affecting the structure of the cabin. This is never a problem though so please do not worry. Place the apex as normal and butt the broken piece against it, you may like to use a little wood glue.

When the roof boards are nailed on correctly, the Apex is then supported from above and below. So this does not effect the structure of the building and the aesthetics are also not affected in any way, as once in place this cannot be seen.
