When making the base for the cabin, most customers will make this to the overall size of the cabin. If you want to however, you can be more precise and make the base to the footprint size of the cabin, this would mean that the logs would sit flush to the base with the interlocking corners overhanging. Please note, this will only work when using the standard foundation beams as they are the basic shape, whereas the profiled ones have a slope which means you would need to make the base slightly larger.

These dimensions for the base are excluding the roof overhangs. Therefore, you will need to bear this in mind when positioning the cabin close to a boundary.
